A Gold Affair
MD1

Recently, I had the opportunity to work with a fellow colleague of mine, Marianne, and some of my classmates. Marianne, had the opportunity to showcase her talent with a big bang! The wedding location was set in the Presidio, with clear skies and the beautiful Golden Gate Bridge in the background. The color scheme for the lucky couple was gold and white with a hint of blush pink. The overall atmosphere was romantic and glamorous! There were so many details that I must break it down for this grand spectacle! ~ The Wedding Chapel The wedding chapel was a fairy-tale that became a reality. Orchids wrapped around gold painted branches that hung crystal gems along the pews. The weight to the crystal gems creates a natural arch down the aisle towards the altar. Behind the altar was a large...

Andrea’s 2nd Birthday!

I had the pleasure of working with a close family friend, who I consider as a sister from another mother. We joined forces with a few of the night-crew gang and worked together in planning her daughter's 2nd birthday. Sonia's daughter Andrea, was the cutest thing! Can't get enough of her adorable laugh and the faces she makes. The theme was Doc Mcstuffins and I was asked to make the birthday cake as well. Now I've dabbled the pastry industry working at a bakery, a couple restaurants, and an ice cream shop. So any chance to make a cake helps practice and strengthen my skill set. Plus who wouldn't love to lick the cake batter off the spoon! The location of the party was in a sectioned off area of Coyote Point Park in San Mateo, California. It was a beautiful day out, sunny with a coo...

A Surprising Find!
V. Sattui Panorama

Sooo...I have this HUGE urge to explore when I'm free. Napa Valley was the destination a few weeks back and I have to say for mini road trips outside of San Francisco, it's all about the travel companions that make each destination even better and exciting! My mother came up to the Bay for the weekend and we chose to try something new. Wine tasting! This road trip was amazing, we got to experience a myriad of delicious flavors and treats, beautiful scenery, insight with stories from my mother's childhood, and lots of laughter. Every time I head up to Napa, I have to stop by Gott's Roadside for lunch. After my craving has been satisfied I like to walk to Oxbow Market to get my snacks. My usual routine consist of Ca' Momi for dessert, Ritual for coffee, exploring the different cheeses, walk...

The Proper Send-off!

As mentioned before, my God-brother was getting married on the ninth of August. It was beautiful! The blushing bride shedding tears of joy as she reads her vows out loud and my God-brother Nick, nervously searching for his vows on his phone. They are such an adorable couple! It was quite the joyous day especially with the sun shining in on the lovely couple around Sausalito Bay. There were many things that made their wedding memorable. It was the tiny details that can easily be overlooked. The look Nick gave when he watched as his bride, Bory, walked down the aisle. During the Best Man’s speech, though Chris was spewing jokes left and right, you can see the deep bond of brotherly love. The bride and groom’s first dance, Nick and Bory were conversing and laughing in their private conver...

Nick’s New Chapter!

8/9/14. My older God-Brother, Nick, is getting MARRIED! I’m so excited for him and his soon-wife to be. Its times like these that make me realize how time has passed so fast. I remember back in the day where I would hang out with Nick and his younger brother Chris after school or swim practice watching TV or playing video games. Sigh…those were the simpler good old days! So with that, I’m excited to see my God-brother embark on a huge stepping stone. It’s a modern twist with a fusion of Southeast Asia. My God-brother being of Thai descent and his fiancé is of a Cambodian descent. I’m definitely looking forward to the décor as well as the food! Who can deny such promise! With that the color palette, I have to say is definitely one of my classic favorites: gold and white with ...
